Mission Boost: Mission Control that lets you act
Mission Control shows you every window you have open. Mission Boost lets you do something about them.
I use Mission Control constantly to find a window. What I always wanted was to close the five I didn't need on the way. macOS doesn't let you. Mission Boost does.
What it adds
- Hover buttons. A close button appears on the window you point at. Add minimize and full screen if you like. How it works.
- Real shortcuts. ⌘W closes, ⌥⌘W closes all of an app's windows, ⌘M minimizes, ⌘F goes full screen, ⌘H hides, ⌥⌘H hides others and ⌘Q quits, all on the window under your cursor. The full list.
- Looks that fit. Five looks and three sizes, from classic macOS colours to pure black and white.
- Light by design. About 11 MB of memory while idle. It does nothing until Mission Control opens.
Why it needs Accessibility access
macOS only lets an app see which window is under the cursor, and close or minimize it, through the Accessibility permission. Setup walks you through it in under a minute. Mission Boost doesn't read window contents and sends nothing about your windows anywhere.
Try it
Mission Boost runs on macOS 13 or later, on Apple silicon and Intel. Every feature is free for 14 days, then it's €9 once for one Mac, or €29 for five Macs while the launch offer runs.
