How to close windows from Mission Control
Mission Control shows all your windows, but you can't close a single one from there.
The built-in way
Without help, closing a window you spotted in Mission Control is a round trip: click the window to leave Mission Control, close it, then open Mission Control again to find the next one. Cleaning up a messy desktop means a dozen trips in and out.
With Mission Boost
Mission Boost adds a close button to the window under your cursor while Mission Control is open. Hover a window, click the ✕, and it's gone. You stay in the overview and move on to the next one.
If you like, you can also show minimize and full-screen buttons next to it, in five looks and three sizes, so they match the rest of macOS or stand out more.
Prefer the keyboard?
Point at a window and press ⌘W to close it, or ⌥⌘W to close every window of that app. The full list of shortcuts covers minimize, full screen, hide and quit too.
